Notes & Observations
- Flowers Sea Swim is deeply tied to Seven Mile because the course runs along that coastline, leveraging calm reef-protected waters.
- The turtle release events are organized by the Cayman Turtle Centre and often happen in public beaches (ie. Governor’s Beach). During these releases the spectacle can be visible along adjacent beachfronts.
- The Beach Volleyball competitions are held on Seven Mile Beach yearly
- The Cayman Cookout (a chef/food festival) happens mostly at the Ritz-Carlton on Seven Mile, so portions of that event are beach-adjacent.
- Pirates Week is the signature festival in November; its fireworks and pirate invasion events strongly feature coastal areas.
- Batabano (Cayman Carnival) A colorful parade that takes place between George Town and Public Beach
